The Japanese Lamp
The lamp has finally been finished with the overall view shown above...
...and the box to give some visual 'weight' to the bottom.
The wooden 'cats cradle' at the top is shown here.
All in all a nice little project and one that didn't tax the little grey cells too much, although it must be said that the Festool Domino made the project about 300% easier than it might have otherwise been...

Really nice!
The domino is an amazing tool :)
Is it possible to see a schematic drawing of the joint involving the three components crossing at a single point? I'd love to use that joinery in a project.
Hello!
As Bob Kroll said. Please let us know how the joint was made.
Regards!
Gregor
As I mentioned in the text, the Festool Domino is your best friend. There is a Japanese joint that will do this sort of convoluted stuff, but a little 'saviour faire' added to a bit of 'je n'sais quoi' will sort it out. Or ought to......
